Founded 1977
1977 Founded by prominent educationalist Mrs. Zeba Khan, Playpen has grown from a small kindergarten into one of Bangladesh's leading English Medium schools.
1998 It expanded to Primary Level, later becoming a High School.
2003 Its first O Level candidate achieved straight A grades in all seven subjects.
2013 Advanced Level classes were introduced by Chairman Mr. A Mannan Khan, with the first A Level batch enrolling in 2015.
The school's permanent campus, also initiated by Mr. A Mannan Khan, was designed by renowned architect Mr. Ehsan Khan. The modern 10-storied building features spacious classrooms, wide corridors, and a distinctive architectural design.
19 July 2018 Principal Mrs. Sorabon Tohura relocated Playpen to its own campus in Bashundhara Residential Area, continuing its long-standing journey of excellence.
Playpen believes in providing a balanced, creative learning environment with small group teaching and a curriculum that blends modern and traditional approaches for students' all-round development.
The Playpen Crew
The Playpen Crew is a student-run magazine that serves as a creative platform where students can express their thoughts, emotions, and experiences through art and storytelling or writing. The magazine's main purpose is to give students the opportunity to share their personal thoughts and experiences in their day to day lives. It encourages students to share their perspectives in ways that feel natural to them.
Through this initiative, students have the chance to showcase their masterpieces, sketches and their personal reflections. It is more than just a magazine. By bringing students together through artistic expression, The Playpen Crew helps build a stronger sense of community within the school.
The magazine reflects on the belief that creativity has no limits and no single definition. Every student carries a unique story. As said by Myself, Arham Rahman-
